Maps and Navigation Apps Performance in El Salvador Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the maps and navigation category in El Salvador showed varied performance across the top five applications. This analysis highlights the trends in downloads and active users for these apps, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a peak in weekly downloads at 13.8K in late April, with numbers generally fluctuating between 9.3K and 12.7K throughout the quarter. Weekly active users started at 265K, saw a slight rise to 283K mid-quarter, and ended at around 262K.

inDrive. Rides with fair fares showed a consistent download pattern, peaking at 11.6K in early April. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at 81.7K and ending at 77.8K, with minor fluctuations.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a steady download rate, with a notable increase to 9.1K by the end of June. Active users saw a small increase from 165K to 174K across the quarter.

Phone Tracker and GPS Location had a peak in downloads at 4.5K in late April, while active users showed a decline from 7.5K to 5.4K by the end of the quarter.

Yango: taxi, food, delivery saw a significant drop in downloads, starting at 5.6K and falling to just 76 by the end of June. Active users also decreased from 15.4K to 8.7K over the quarter.
